S.I.G.N.s of Hope Summer 2012 - Event has passed

S.I.G.N.s is an acronym for Superhero & Initiative Giving Network. Members of all Initiative branches throughout the United States, as well as members of the Real Life Superhero community participated in a nationwide homeless outreach throughout the month of July 2012.

S.I.G.N.s of HOPE, is a nationwide partner to Project HOPE, an annual homeless outreach event first initiated Mr. Xtreme in 2010 and organized by RazorHawk in 2011.

On July 8, 2012, the CAI: Los Angeles participated in feeding over 600 homeless men and women through the Midnight Mission shelter in Downtown Los Angeles, and collected donation of over 100 hygiene kits to hand out to those in need.

HOPE 2012 - Event has passed

The Hope Syndicate was christened in 2011 with the first official HOPE event. HOPE (Homeless Outreach Program Effect) Actually came into being during San Diego ComiCon 2010. When a team of Real Life SuperHeroes, lead by San Diego's own, Mr. Xtreme, did a homeless handout of food and water. Participants were so moved by the amount of homeless people they helped that HOPE became a yearly event.

At HOPE 2012, on July 14th, members of the Initiative and the Real Life Superhero community joined together in San Deigo during ComiCon weekend. Some participants came from as far at Utah. Over 1,000 packs of clean socks, food, water and fresh produce were assembled and handed out to the homeless community.

S.I.G.N.s of Hope Winter 2012 - Currently Active

Winter S.I.G.N.s of Hope will consist of collecting toys and climate appropriate clothes such as thick socks and gently used coats.  We will be teaming up with Toys for Tots, an organization that collects new children's toys to give as presents to less fortunate children.

A raffle will be held for those who donate items (idea headed by the Arizona Initiative). Donations will be taken from now until the middle of December 2012.

All non-toy donations will be part of a handout at the local family shelter and the Adopt A Family program.
